Inquiry stage of Invitation cards

The layout of the card is simple but informative and it also pops up because of the mix and match of colors. The image is big which makes the card more attractive and visually exciting.
The text is informative as well but it could be in a different font to make it easier to read. it has the information for: who, what, when, where, and why.

The color of the background is pink which shows that it could be a girls’ only party. The clarity of the picture is good but the clarity of the clarity of the writing doesn't look good in some sites.

The layout of the card is a simple, single page, rectangle card which is informative and has an elegant base color with a nice range of bright colored components.
The and is very informative and very easy to read as well. It has all the parts of information to make sure that everyone can come to the correct place at the correct time for the correct person’s party.
Because the colors and the image are so maturely colored it might be for a teenager or a preteen.
The clarity of the text and the images are both very good and it looks like there has been lots of effort put into it.

the ayout of the cad is very attractive and the moment you see it you can tell it is for someone that loves horse riding. It is visually exciting because of the fun shape and attractive colors.
It is the colors of a cowboy boot. The inside has the details of the party but it doesn't lose the cowboy theme.
The colors again are very mature so it might be for someone that is going into their teenage years.
The clarity of the card is very good because everything is very clear.

I think that the layout is very simple because all of the drawings are on the side which means that the writing is easy to read. As well as that the colors are very vibrant which makes the card very attractive.
The text is short, simple but it is also easy to read and understand. I think that the card’s target audience is little children because of all of the animated and colorful pictures. This I think has the best clarity level because every component is clear in the colors and there is no problems with the outline of the pictures like in the other cards

Parts of a computer (all that we have learnt)

Static Wristband: It goes around you wrist and is clipped to the case while you put the computer together. If you don't do so then the static electricity will go from your body and damage the computer parts.

Power Supply: The power supply has a cord that plugs into and electrical outlet that sends electricity to the rest of the computer.

RAM: It stands for random access memory. This is where your computer stores your data while it runs your programs. When your computer shuts down then it deletes all the data stored in it.
Central Processing Unit: This is the brain of your computer. It runs a program by performing a series of simple instructions. This includes managing the movement of the data through the motherboard.

Fan: The fan keeps the processor from overheating.

Disk Drive: It is a laser that reads the CD’s/ DVD’s

Hard drive: This is where all the data (Documents/ Pics/etc..) is stored. Unlike the RAM it saves the data even after the computer is shut down.

Motherboard: It connects the RAM, processor, and hard drive together and lets them communicate and work together.

Case: The case houses all the parts and protects them from hazards like bumps and dust.

Graphics Card: A graphics card, also known as a video card, is a piece of hardware installed in a computer that is responsible for rendering the image on the computer’s monitor or display screen. The images you see on you are made of tiny dots called pixels. At most common resolution settings, a screen displays over a million pixels, and the computer has to decide what to do with everyone in order to create an image and this job is done by a graphics card. A graphics card must work very hard to render images to the screen. Unlike text files, graphics images are much larger files consisting of great amounts of data that must be processed by the graphics or video card.

Disk Array Controller: A disk array is a hardware element that contains a large group of hard disk drives (HDDs). It may contain several trays and has an architecture which improves speed and increases data protection. The system is run via a storage controller, which coordinates activity within the unit. Disk arrays form the backbone of modern environments. A storage area network contains one or more disk arrays that function as the source for the data which is moved in and out of the SAN.

PCB: PCB’s (Printed circuit board) or adapters come in tows, the sound card and the video graphics card. They enhance the sound and video quality of the computer. It is also the skeleton of most electronic devices. It provides not only a solid physical base for the components to be mounted upon, but also the electrical interconnects (traces) between the components.

Spider Diagram for Ways of Comunication

Reflection about lesson for tech fair:

Word Count: 165

Reflection about lesson for tech fair:
During the lesson today Michelle and i planned what we exactly are going to do and the process of making our tech fair projects. So we have decided that we are going to make a bristle bot out of a toothbrush that will run because of the button cell and the pager motor. It will move because the motor and the battery will make it move and then the bristles will vibrate. We have also decided to make a a solar cooker that will cook foods that need less temperature for example: eggs, noodles, bruschetta, and much more. we will use a pizza box as the base and container and we will use old CD as a reflective material on the cover so that the sun will reflect the heat onto the food that is being cooked. This cooking process will take some time but it will be effective. I think that this lesson was very productive for us.

Tech fair ideas

Inquiring and Analyzing:

The bristle bod:

Idea:-

I want to make a project for the tech fair which is called the bristle bot. If it is liked them it can be made in a macro size and it can help people in danger of natural disasters. It will be like a car that can run on thing like stone by the use of a motor form a toy car that works on battery.  This motor will have the base of  a cleaning brush with stiff bristles and it will have a motor connected to it which will make it vibrate. Because of bristles being so stiff the motor will not topple like cars would when they are driven over stones of rough ground.

Materials:-

tooth brush with bristles
DC motor from a toy car
2 wires
nail
player
battery
double sided tape

CPU model with the parts inside:-

Idea:-
this project will be of a CPU and lots of other little parts that are inside the computer.

Materials:-

modeling clay
paint
computer (to see images of what is inside ( Google)

References:-

Our own idea

Solar Cooker:-

Idea:-

My idea is that we will create a solar cooker that is made out of an old pizza box and it will be covered with black bags(so the sun is attracted to it). in it will be a bowl made of tinfoil which is reflective material so the suns rays will land on any angle of the bowl it will reflect onto the food that is inside it. The cooker will be faced to the direction of the sun and the lid will be covered with old CD 's which are also reflective so the suns rays will bounce of against it and will land into the bowl.

Materials:-

Pizza Box/ shoe box
Black bags
Old CD'S
In foil
Eggs

Our Final Idea:

  1. Solar Cooker
